A visit to Babajan Dargah, the shrine of one of Pune’s most beloved Muslim saints. Hazrat Babajan was a woman from royal family in Afghanistan who renounced opulence and privilege for the sake of God. She arrived in Pune as an old woman to spend the remainder of her life living under a tree, turning away no one seeking her help.

Gethsemani IV Presentations
The fourth "Gethsemani Encounter," a Buddhist/Catholic dialogue, was held at Gethsemani Abbey in Kentucky May 27-31. The topic of this year's gathering was "spiritual maturation." Presentations made at the meeting, along with reflections, are posted in the current issue of Dilatato Corde as they are submitted.

Mario Aguilar, THE MONK IN RAIMON PANIKKAR: SILENCE, PILGRIMAGE, AND A CHRISTIAN-HINDU DIALOGUE
This study of some of Panikkar’s writings on monasticism and silence argues that Panikkar’s insights become central to a contemporary Christian-Hindu dialogue, and that monasticism is a seminal place for interreligious dialogue based on silence and our common humanity.

Jaechan Anselmo Park,CONTEMPLATION AND SELF-TRANSCENDENCE:THOMAS MERTON IN DIALOGUE WITH ZEN BUDDHISM
Through his encounter with Zen Buddhism, Thomas Merton attained integration of his inner self and openness to others beyond cultural and religious boundaries. His transcendent experience and his paths of dialogue continue to provide a model for interreligious dialogue.
