The Abhishiktananda Centre for Interreligious Dialogue The Abhishiktananda Centre for Interreligious Dialogue was formed in 2008 to promote Swami Abhishiktananda’s vision, and thus his writings, in India, as well as abroad (the latter in English). The Bede Griffiths Trust The website of the Bede Griffiths Trust, an association for the renewal of the contemplative life, includes a biography of Bede Griffiths, articles, book reviews, and meditations. International Thomas Merton Society The International Thomas Merton Society, formed in 1987, includes chapters throughout the world. The ITMS promotes the study of Thomas Merton and, with the Merton Center, co-publishes The Merton Seasonal. The Thomas Merton Center In 1967, one year before his death, Merton established the Merton Legacy Trust, naming Bellarmine College as the repository of his manuscripts, letters, journals, tapes, drawings, photographs, and memorabilia. Two years later, in October 1969, the College established the Thomas Merton Center, with the Collection as its focal point. The Center serves as a regional, national, and international resource for scholarship and inquiry on Merton and his works and also on the ideas he promoted: contemplative life, spirituality, ecumenism, East-West relations, personal and corporate inner work, peace, and social justice. The Merton Institute for Contemplative Living The mission and purpose of the Merton Institute for Contemplative Living is to awaken interest in contemplative living through the works of Thomas Merton in order to promote Merton’s vision for a just and peaceful world. |
