Buddhist-Christian Studies
A scholarly journal devoted to Buddhism and Christianity and their historical and contemporary interrelationships, Buddhist-Christian Studies presents thoughtful articles, conference reports, and book reviews. It also includes sections on comparative methodology and historical comparisons, as well as ongoing discussions from two dialogue conferences: the Theological Encounter with Buddhism, and the Japan Society for Buddhist-Christian Studies. Subscription is also available through membership in the Society for Buddhist-Christian Studies (SBCS), c/o Journals Department, University of Hawai‘i Press.
Claritas: Journal of Dialogue and Culture An interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, online/open access journal founded to explore the life and thought, dialogues and initiatives inspired by the Focolare vision of unity. Claritas seeks to facilitate critical and constructive dialogue among scholars from all research disciplines and encourages cross-disciplinary and intercultural collaboration. Inter-Religious Dialogue The Journal of Inter-Religious Dialogue™ is a forum for academic, social, and timely issues affecting religious communities around the world. It is designed to increase the quality and frequency of interchanges between religious groups and their leaders. The Journal seeks to build an inter-religious community of scholars, in which people of different traditions learn from one another and work together for the common good. Interreligious Insights The journal is the successor to the respected journal World Faiths Encounter, which has been published by the World Congress of Faiths for many, many years. The intended audience is a mixture of academic, interested individuals and practitioners of dialogue and engagement at organizational and local levels. The journal will combine several interests: learned articles, spirituality, reflection on practical projects, significant news and developments from international interreligious organizations, extended reflections on significant books, book reviews, film and website reviews. In order to cover this range of material the journal will adopt a mixture of presentational and reader-friendly styles. Journal of Ecumenical Studies The Journal of Ecumenical Studies (JES) was founded by Arlene and Leonard Swidler in 1964 as the first peer-reviewed journal in the field of interreligious dialogue. Born out of the ecumenical spirit of Vatican II, JES began with an emphasis on dialogue among diverse Christian traditions. Its focus quickly broadened to Christian-Jewish dialogue and soon thereafter to interchange among a wide array of religious traditions. After 45 years, JES continues as the premier publisher of scholarly articles in the field of dialogue across lines of religious difference. Journal of Hindu-Christian Studies The Journal of Hindu-Christian Studies features peer-reviewed articles, book reviews, reports of meetings and conferences, and other items relevant to the field. A subscription to the Journal is included in the annual membership dues for the society. |
