MESSAGE OF THE FEDERATION OF ASIAN BISHOPS' COUNCILS
Dialogue Rooted in Humility and Contemplation

The Federation of Asian Bishops’ Councils held its tenth Plenary Assembly in Xuon Loc and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, December 10-16, 2012.

Its message, “ Renewed Evangelizers for New Evangelization in Asia,” emphasizes the need for dialogue that is “characterized by humble sensitivity to the hidden presence of God . . . in the varieties of religious traditions” and notes that “In the vast mission in Asia the silent but eloquent witness of an authentic Christian life requires a humble presence, a mode of dialogical living that includes a prayerful and ‘contemplative’ way of life.”
