RIP Prasanna Devi

Sister Prasanna Devi, who is regarded as the first Indian Catholic woman hermit, died on February 27. She was featured in an article by Yann Vagneux, entitled “Mataji.” which appeared in VOLUME IX, Number 2 (July - December 2019) of Dilatato Corde. It also appears in his book  Indian Portraits: Eight Christian Encounters with Hinduism.

The homily at her funeral was preached by Fr Vinod. In tribute to her, the diocese of Rajkot in Gujarat, to which she belonged, produced this video.
