Jaechan Anselmo Park entered the Benedictine abbey at Waegwan in South Korea in 1991. After his ordination to the priesthood in 2001, he was vocation director and directed the Monastic Experience program for young men. He also worked as a religion consultant for radio and television. In 2006 he began graduate studies in religion and pedagogy, earning the ThM degree at the University of Toronto in 2013. He is presently doing research on Thomas Merton and monastic interreligious dialogue for his doctoral thesis. In 2006, he published his book, Contemplation and Action as Seen in Psalm 131 (in Korean).
