VOLUME IX, Number 1
January-June 2019 Benedictine Interreligious Dialogue (BID), the Indo-Sri Lankan commission of DIM·MID, held its annual meeting at Shantivanam (Saccidananda_Ashram) February 11-13, 2019. About 25 monastic men and women gathered for lectures, discussion, and prayer. The theme of the gathering was “We are called to be instruments of peace.” Two days were devoted to Muslim, Hindu, and Christian understandings and practices of peace with presentations by Sir - Akbar Ali, Fr. KUMAREN, Fr. Anbu OFM, and Bro. John Martin OSB Cam. who spoke on “Mission without Conversion.” Day three was spent visiting ancient and historical temples in the area.
